Senior QA/Testing specialist who will be performing testing procedures on DB intensive Web / Mobile Application software and ensure all errors are identified and corrected before release. You will be involved in ensuring high quality is engrained into teams as well as working closely with developers to give them a test perspective.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintaining QA processes and test tools
· Translate/write user requirements and design specifications into test plans/scenarios
· Executing test cases to validate front-end and back-end functionality
· Ability to solve complex problems, identifying issues, and provide recommendations. Provides creativity in order to address issues
· Entering/updating bugs in a bug tracking system
· Cross-browser testing
· Platform testing
· Load testing
· Must be able to comprehend or develop requirements documents as related to business and functional needs and plan testing efforts accordingly
· Communicate with Project Management and QA Manager regarding testing status and project issues
· Participate in the estimation of QA project participation
· Work closely with developers to ensure that quality is taken into account and they are creating the right kind of tests
· Support - assist with resolution and reproduction of application problems
· Evaluate new technologies related to Software Quality Assurance, Testing, and/or process management.
BASIC QUALIFICATION
· Bachelor's/Master's degree holder with 6+ years of QA/Testing experience
· Minimum 3 years of experience in testing applications in Digital Media and Advertising domain
· Must be well versed with Media and advertisement business terminologies and its functioning.
· Full understanding of testing web /mobile applications and websites and associated technologies
· Experience of agile and the scrum methodology
· Experience with test automation tools and strategies
· Experience of using BDD effectively
· Proven Java and Oracle with Linux experience
· Must be proficient in using JIRA working in an agile development life-cycle.
· Expert knowledge of functional testing, unit testing, automated testing, load testing and smoke testing is required.
· Testing types (Functional, System, Integration, Regression, manual, automated, browser, device, etc)
· Defect Tracking tools
· Knowledge of emerging and other relevant technologies such as test plan automation, load testing, change management automation, and system integration test tools
