Technical/Functional Skills	Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM) 2012 R2 – deployment, administration, configuration, troubleshooting, maintaining ·         Senior server and networking competencies ·         Good working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, LDAP, Kerberos, DNS, TCP/IP, WMI, SNMP ·         Good working knowledge of Powershell, VB scripting ·         Working knowledge of MS SQL Server 2008/2012 usage and administration (e.g., queries, security/roles, table/database relationships) in large environments ·         Management Pack Development ·         XML and HTML editing ·         Microsoft Cluster Server expertise ·         Familiarity with .NET multi-tier applications and web services ·         Working knowledge of enterprise-level systems monitoring tools ·         Familiarity with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)

Roles & Responsibilities	SCOM is a tool that requires a high technical skillset to appropriately manage and leverage its full capabilities.  It requires both broad (Microsoft technologies, operational experience) and deep (Operations Manager) technical knowledge.    The primary responsibilities of this resource would be: ·         20% - Working regularly with application owners and internal support teams (including after-hours NOC management) within a large, enterprise environment to provide critical monitoring and performance insight.  ·         20% - Act as an Operations Manager Subject Matter Expert for as design, deployment and support activities take place across the corporation.  Server administration would provide backup and support on a part-time basis. ·         20% - Provide 2nd and 3rd level support of design, deployment and operational issues for subjects ranging from the SCOM infrastructure itself, to Management Packs, to agent performance. ·         20% - Provide technical and process recommendations across multiple teams to ensure integrity of services and understanding routine procedures required by end users of SCOM services. ·         20% - Development of custom Dashboard views and reporting

Education	Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science or Mathematics.
