Backend Software Engineer (ASP.Net & SQL)

Location:  Herndon, VA

Duration:  3 Months+

Rate is Open

Excellent communication skills

 

Masters in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience. Strong foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design.

 

Details:

Minimum of 6 years of recent real-world work experience in ASP.NET, C#, Web Forms, WCF.

Proficiency (4+ year recent experience) in Object Oriented analysis, design and programming.

Proficiency with Visual Studio 2010 and above, SQL Server Management Studio, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and above.

Proficiency(4+ year recent experience) in SQL, LINQ, relation database design.

Proficiency in programming languages like Java, C++, Python etc.

Experience with NHibernate or related ORM technologies desired.

Excellent oral and written English communication skills are a must.

Self-motivated, pleasantly aggressive, realistically ambitious and high personal ethics. Must be able to develop  professional and personal relationships with co-workers and end-users. Must be a positive and people-oriented person.

Strong interest in data visualization and exploration and related technologies/tools.

Detail oriented and not afraid to discard code and start again (for you, "refactor mercilessly" is not just a tee-shirt slogan).
