Position : Automation Testing
Location : Chevy Chase, MD
Duration : 3-6 Months
Experience : 7-10 Years
Job Requirement & Technical Skills Required:
· Application Testing(Mandatory)
· Test Automation(Mandatory)
· As a Project Manager, you are responsible for end to end project management for the assigned project - includes project planning, delivery, client interaction, trouble shooting, managing project operational parameters and people management.
· Project Manager span may be of 20 - 40 FTE (2-5 Project Leads)
Test Automation
· Should be able to differentiate the various test automation frameworks in the market and their applicability to the AUT.
· Should understand the service offerings from Automation practice and leverage on the same, if required.
· Should have awareness on the various testing tools related certifications available in the market to improve the competency.
· Should be able to work on QTP and understands the overview on QTP as test automation tool - features, performance and usage.
Application Testing
· Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products.
· Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.
· Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
· Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
· Works on problems of relatively complex scope, through general usage of standard programming concepts and principles and application of own judgment.
· Works as a fully contributing team member, under broad supervision/ guidance.
· Expected to further build upon domain knowledge and technical/ proprietary skills to reach levels of expertise.
· May guide new members in the team to help them scale up faster.
Test Project Management
· Manages a team that debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products.
· Oversees the development and execution of software test plans. Ensures documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
· Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
· Supervises the day to day work of lower level individual contributors. Work affects related activities within the project team.
· Sets own work schedule for the project team to meet established objectives.
· Applies own judgment to independently determine a course of action, which is then executed through a team independently post review.
· Good project management skills are required. Works on developing people management skills.
· Responsible for complete end to end project management for the assigned project which includes project planning, delivery, client interaction, trouble shooting and tracking utilization for the team.
· Includes application of knowledge to practical issues often relating to more than one functional area.
· Has a significant impact on a small department/function. The role manages work activities of team through lower level supervisors/individual contributors.
· Responsible for conducting appraisals, feedback to employees and handling team work allocations.
· Ability to adapt to various communication styles and interpret non-routine and conflicting information.
· Knowledge of relevant policies & procedures; determines a course of action based on these guidelines. Good project and people management skills are required.
· Interacts with internal and/or external clients and customers to negotiate and interpret information on projects and unit operations.
· May consult with senior management. Responsible for managing the career growth, motivation & retention for the assigned group.
Project Management
· Conceptual awareness of core project management techniques and some practical experience (PRACTITIONER)
· Practicing Project manager who has either completed a formal course in project management techniques, behavioral skills
· Should have some team handling experience or demonstrated sufficient experience in projects handled and/or has cleared suitable internal assessments
· Will be responsible for medium sized projects or projects of moderate criticality (defined by internal and customer context)
· Should be able to handle projects with varying scope and conflict with some level of supervision and guidance from line/practice manager
· Will be responsible for delivering the project using organization project management/execution tools to effort, cost, schedule and quality
· Will be responsible for planning, tracking, reporting (internal and external) project performance (status and progress) on a periodic basis
· Will be able to evolve risk mitigation and contingency plans and be able to work with internal supervision/guidance to manage internal and external conflicts
