This role is typically engaged as the highest-level technology expert on a project team. Partners with business analysts, systems analysts and engineers in requirements gathering and reviews. Responsible for analyzing and translating business, information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to achieve business objectives. Works with enterprise architecture, application and infrastructure teams to produce an optimal, high level, conceptual design for the project. Develops enterprise level solutions that integrate across applications, systems and platforms. Proposes changes in process, policy and standards as they relate to the architecture and design principles. Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and solutions to solve business problems. Viewed as a technical expert and critical resource across multiple disciplines. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has 7 to 10 years of experience in multiple IT areas and 2 to 3 years of relevant architecture and project management experience. Requires advanced to expert level knowledge and understanding of architecture, application design, systems engineering and integration.  POSITION OVERVIEW  Completes/guides the complex design, development and implementation of new and emerging services, platforms and services within the application landscape – most specifically SAP. Manages enterprise design projects, key principle in implementation projects. In coordination with the global portfolio teams and CTO to define, implement and grows the SAP and application practice within North America. Is the SPOC for complex application design and deployment.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES  • Takes ownership of the performance of technology solutions within subject matter expertise (e.g. availability, reliability, Installation, customization, etc) of the various aspect of SAP with a keen understanding of the core application and it's various modules and bolt-ons. Proposes and drives changes to optimize or improve services.  • Works in coordination with the operations teams to proactively address potential problems & provides effective solutions in reaction to application of concepts, techniques, knowledge, or processes. Driving issues back into the design or implementation processes.  • Leads the analysis and technical recommendation in response to RFP, RFI and customer requests.  • Acts as advisor to top management and business partners on advanced technical matters. Represents the company as the primary external contact, including customers.  • Provides overall technical leadership on projects, responsible for the solution's impact as it relates to the application business.  • Performs special assignments and provides technical advice in area of expertise.  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues.  QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS  • Extensive knowledge in field of specialization or multiple disciplines to the successful completion of complex assignments with a clear focus on enterprise applications like SAP.  • Successfully serves as point of authority and/or source of technical/scientific knowledge for SAP, Oracle and other enterprise application platforms.  • Subject Matter Expertise in multiple technologies with a keen focus on SAP.  • Extensive knowledge of SAP HANA and Virtualization is a plus.  • Comprehensive knowledge of the hosting business (outsourcing or managed services), roadmaps, policies and processes and their relationship to our customers (internal and external.)  • Industry knowledge in one or more technical areas, which can include both industry certifications, (e.g. ITIL) and membership on industry user group committees.  • Displays original thinking in applying principles, theories, and concepts on a wide range of problems.  • Technical certifications may be required.  PHYSICAL JOB DEMANDS  Travel may be required (up to 50%).
