Role:                 Oracle Database Administrator L2
Location:          Minneapolis, MN

Duration:          12+ months

 

 

Required Skill Set

Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g, 11g Database Administration

 

Must-Have       

 

•3 - 6 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration. Associate should have L2 capabilities in different Versions of Oracle.

•Installation of  Oracle

•Database Builds

•Incident Management

•Change Management

•Problem Management

•Database maintenance ( Index re- build, table re-org )

•User Access Management

•Database startup/shutdown

•Database consistency checks

•Database re-org activities

•Altering database/ log files

•Analyzing session wait events

•Perform database backup/restores

•Migrating the database objects from Dev /QA to Production

•Database refresh /cloning

•Database upgrades

•Database patching

•Knowledge on Oracle  RAC

•Knowledge Management - Creation of SOPs for regular activities, KEDB 

•SOX/PCI/HIPAA Compliance reporting

•DR Drill support

 

Tools:               •OEM , RMAN , Grid, Data Guard , Golden Gate ,etc.

Good-to-Have   •Knowledge on Exadata, Microsoft SQL Server, MAX DB, SAP HANA

Background      •Should be able execute activities independently.

Others              •Customer management
