Data Center LAN/WAN Resource
6 months contract
Plano TX
 
This role is responsible for the support of processes and best practices as defined by the Solution Engineering teams as they apply to the data center environments. Amongst its responsibilities includes configuration, implementation, problem resolution, and required maintenance to devices that are part of the LAN / WAN network in the data centers. 
 
 
 
8-10 Data Center Network routing and Switching  and experience
 Cisco CCNP
3-5 Planning and project implementation skills
Problem resolution skills
Ability to adapt to ever changing requirements and feature sets
Ability to be able to relate logical requirements into physical requirements.
Ability to communicate at any level of the enterprise.
In depth understanding of the existing infrastructure and how it relates to the day to day operation
 
 
 

1. Data Center (RDC, PDC & WDC)

ü Move, add and changes requiring network configuration changes.
ü Lab environment move, add, and changes
ü New installations of servers, network equipment
ü Code and service upgrades
ü Second level support of network issues in data center environment

2. GSM

ü Tasks requiring network changes in domestic data centers
ü Tickets involving performance issues attributed to data center devices
ü Change management for upgrade and required changes for teams that involve the data center environments.
ü Queue monitor duties

3. Miscellaneous
ü Liaison for teams as to current states, availability, problem resolution
ü Interface for vendor support for troubleshooting or otherwise
