| Job Summary (Describe the purpose of the job in 1-2 sentences) As a member of the ERP team, will provide database administration services for a wide variety of mission-critical production applications to ensure an efficient and reliable environment. Performing Oracle APPS R12 and database administration and management activities in a safe, recoverable and professional manner that ensures the optimal operation of all database environments including Kill transactions, Object reorg/defragmentation, Tablespace add/change, Package/Procedure recompiles, Statistics gathering, Environment refresh Data Updates (DML) etc. | ||||||

| 1. | Project DBA for the implementation of Oracle E-Buisness Suite R12 in a 10g/11g RAC environment. | 40 | E | |||
| 2. | Perform application and database tuning, performance monitoring and investigative troubleshooting for customers. | 15 | E | |||
| 3. | Undertake installations, upgrades, migrations and patch management of Oracle R12 E-Business Suite environments (Database and Application Server). | 10 | E | |||
| 4. | Maintaining security and enterprise policy guidelines according to best practices. Recommending new and improved guidelines to ensure high availability and stability. Maintain highest level of SOX and SECURITY standards. | 10 | E | |||
| 5. | Identifying potential service level problems before they occur and notifying appropriate parties | 10 | E | |||
| 8. | Design storage strategies around backup and recovery for complex database environments, physical structures, and specialized database applications Maintaining up-to-date plans for disaster recovery and fail over capabilities | 5 | E | |||
| 9. | Logging support cases as necessary and effectively working with DBMS vendor to resolve issues | 5 | E | |||
| 10. | Proposing solutions, identifying tools, and generating procedures to ensure an efficient, consistent repeatable environment | 5 | E | |||
| Qualifications: (What are the minimum requirements for the position?) | ||||||
| Education | BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related discipline. Undergraduate degree degree accepted with equivalent experience | |||||
| Experience | · 5+ years of experience DBA support of Oracle E-Business Suite R12 using 10g/11g RAC. · 4+ years of experience in Application Server 9i and/or 10g/11g. · 4+ years of experience in Oracle Database 10g and/or 11g. · 2+ years of experience in Linux. | |||||
| Competencies | · AIX and Linux a plus. · Experience managing multi-terabyte databases . · Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) status is preferred. · DBMS Vendor Certification is a plus. | |||||
