Job Title: Build Release Engineer

Location: Boston, MA

Duration : 6+ Months

 

Skills

BS in Computer Science or related engineering discipline, combined with 4+ years of experience supporting multi-tiered, high volume critical production applications.

Good verbal and written communication skills. Facility to cultivate and maintain supportive relationships within the team and the enterprise at large. 

*Extremely* good analytical skills and problem solving ability 

Strong Linux skills required.

Solid Scripting Skills – ANT, Ansible, Python, Maven

Experience building and supporting a scalable infrastructure to support  QA automation using Selenium  

Detailed working knowledge of Bugzilla and RT - ability to customize as needed for Development teams and integrate with build processes and issue tracking processes

Experience with Jenkins 

Detailed working knowledge of repository codes systems such as CVS, GIT, VSS

Working Knowledge of ASP, .NET, css , HTML, XML, javascript, Spring Framework

Advance configurations on JBOSS, TOMCAT, and APACHE with virtual host, multiple Data Sources and hosts, multiple instances, clustering, TOMCAT Manager, JBOSS Remote deploy and tuning on JVM.

Experience with AppDynamics a plus

Experience with Nagios and Opsview configuration and support a plus

Experience with RabbitMQ and ActiveMQ

Experience with Webservices Axis2 and Restful

 

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for defining, implementing and supporting build management and integration workflow processes

Functions as a mentor within engineering teams and as a consultant to the department. Works with teams and management to implement Build/Release Engineer (DevOps) methodologies and standards.

Keep abreast with the latest developments in Release Engineering and Knowledge management software and open source technologies; share knowledge with the team and propose adoption of new technology.

Assist the teams in supporting the application in QA and production environments. 

Responsible working with Automation engineers to create and maintain our Selenium Automation Infrastructure
