Lead the definition, design and documentation of technical environments. Deploy solution architectures, conduct analysis of alternative architectures, create architectural standards, define processes to ensure conformance with standards, institute solution-testing criteria, define a solution's cost of ownership, and promote a clear and consistent business vision through technical architectures.

 

Coordinate initial gathering of requirements for Desktop Engineering Infrastructure design and build.

 

Develop high level design and blueprint for implementing Desktop Engineering platform.

 

Advise and assist with development of policies, processes, and standards for personal computing environment, development of Blue Desktop Management and Engineering Staffing requirements, and with identifying transition of service and support

 

Experience with designing and architecting a Desktop Management platform and capabilities for an enterprise.  Example: SCCM, Altiris or CA IT Client Automation to enable image Management, patch Management, electronic software distribution, software packaging, and end user device asset management.

 

Owns and delivers the OS Core Image design. This includes testing and validation that the image(s) install correctly.

 

Coordinate the activities be an escalation point for User Data Migration issues.

 

The Deployment Architect is responsible for defining the deployment approach based on deployment requirements, with a focus on the deployment process.

 

-      Work with other required platform tools, "Accelerate"

 

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH :

Microsoft-System Center Configuration Manager - ADVANCED

Symantec-Altiris - ADVANCED

VMWare-View   Experienced/Advanced

 

 

Experience with VMWare or Citrix VDI technologies is a nice to have

 

Optional: Experience with defining capabilities necessary to provide desktop management services, identifying key roles and responsibilities of a desktop management team, leading other engineers.
