I have an urgent requirement with one of my clients, details given below.

 

Job Title	QA analyst
Project Location	Los Angeles, CA
Duration	6 months /Contract

 
Skills Required and Job Description:

MOI- Telephonic +Face to Face The Sr. QA analyst should also be technical: comfortable retrieving, inserting and manipulating data in Sybase databases with extensive and complex schemas. This position also entails some change management activities. In the capacity of a Release Coordinator, you will plan, coordinate and execute releases to the User Acceptance and Production Environments. More generally the QA Analyst will be responsible for documenting, evaluating and improving the quality assurance and change management processes in an ongoing project to bring the development effort into line with industry best practices. Required: • At least 5 years of experience testing client-server applications, preferably in a Windows environment • Thorough knowledge of the development lifecycle • Knowledge of SQL is a plus • Experience customizing and administering a bug-tracking and test management application (eg. Mercury TestDirector, Rational Functional Tester/Manual Tester) • Experience in both functional/black-box testing and white/grey-box testing at the system level • Experience authoring test cases and test procedures from prototypes, technical specifications, requirements documents and use cases • Experience authoring test plans covering the full scope of testing activity for an entire iteration of a development lifecycle • Grounding in a formal testing methodology • Knowledge of configuration management and change management methodologies
