Job Description:
The Senior Software Developer for RWD project is responsible for design, implementation and support of high-volume rich and innovative web applications and products of our new RWD version of ther truTV.com for desktop, connected devices, tablets, mobile, and small screens.
The Senior Software Developer works as a team leader on the development of software applications, data aggregation/syndication scripts, content management templates and workflows.
The position requires extensive experience in web application development for desktop, mobile and connected devices (Android, Blackberry, iPhone, TVs), interfacing with Social Media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Blog development, etc), mashup development (Google APIs, etc.), and content management system template development and customization (Interwoven, WordPress, etc.).
The Senior Software Developer for RWD project serves as the software development group team leader on technical efforts; provides expert-level knowledge of application development standards and technologies to build high-volume interactive web applications in a fast-paced, agile and team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities :
Establish the front-end framework and lead front end web development utilizing responsive web design, progressive enhancement and web performance optimization.
Review mocks, bring them to life on desktop and connected devices
Develop interactive components using JavaScript and jQuery, integrate with internal tools, frameworks and services as well as external APIs
Lead design and development of back-end systems to support RWD
Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams of developers, product and project managers, editors and designers
Required Skills:-
5-7 years of experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript
3+ years of experience with HTML5/CSS3
Expert level knowledge of building multi-platform web sites using Responsive Web Design (media queries, progressive enhancement, feature detection and etc.)
Experience with Backbone.js, async loaders like LABjs or RequireJS -- Experience with CSS generators like SASS / LESS
Experience working with 3rd party content and APIs, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest & etc.
Experience with Web Performance Optimization (WPO)
Experience using Git in team environment
