Location: San Francisco, CA (LOCAL ONLY!) F2F required
Duration: 1 year +

Overview of Position:
This is a great opportunity to join the Build & Engineering Services Team (BEST) supporting the Sales & Marketing Technology (SMT) and Online Customer Services (OCS) applications
Candidate will be required to:
• Lead the build deployment team, resource planning and resource allocation. Manage work consistency and resources across geographic time zones.
• Define tactical and innovative solution for process improvement, deployment and system implementation.
• Define, document, and maintain functional operating environment standards and procedures for assigned platforms; this includes configuration parameters, cron jobs, startup parameters.
• Help in the design and implementation of system analysis and monitoring tools.
• Build tools to automate and ease infrastructure and application provisioning
• Consult with platform Development leads to help define build and deployment procedures, write Install Manifests, and resolve configuration management issues.
• Perform software builds and deployments for assigned platforms and releases; maintain build scripts
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• 7+ years of experience as Software Developer or DevOps Engineer
• 2-3 years of experience writing Puppet recipes building server environments and pushing server configuration changes
• 1+ years of experience building Windows Server 2008 R2 a plus
• 1+ year of experience with any cloud management frameworks used for deployment, configuration and operations a plus
• Excellent Linux or Solaris system administration and troubleshooting skills
• Has worked in a large-scale, enterprise IT Operations environment
• Strong proficiency in server automation, standardization, simplification and repeatability
• Experience working with configuration management tools such as: Jenkins, Git, Apache Subversion (SVN), Chef
• Extensive scripting experience in Python, Perl, Shell, or PowerShell
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Team player who is flexible and can work with diverse personalities
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing requirements
• Self-motivated and able to fulfill requests and meet objectives with minimal supervision
PLUSES:
• Has worked in configuring WebLogic Servers in a Cluster solution for High Availability, Load balancing and fail over support.
• Demonstrated experience in deploying different application war files, EJB jars files and enterprise application archives (ear) on WebLogic Server or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience with Apache or SunOne/iPlanet webserver configuration
