Position:        Netezza Consultant

Duration:     Long Term

Location:        Bethpage, NY

 

JOB DESCRIPTION 

·         Need a contractor with 5+ years’ experience with Netezza.

 

Roles and responsibilities

•         System administration & monitoring. Software script development, Netezza performance tuning and troubleshooting.

•         Query & system performance optimization.

•         Participates within the DBA team to troubleshoot any issues on the Netezza appliance.

•         Requires analytical and design skills with the ability to translate user and system requirements into a data model and technical design.   

•         The individual engaged in these activities will have experience in the Netezza data warehouse appliance, data warehousing, working with very large data sets and expertise in SQL.

•         Provide technical documentation data models and design for listed projects.

•         Work with appliance vendor to troubleshoot issues, perform upgrades, and create and follow-up on support tickets as needed.

•         Work with business units to troubleshoots difficult database problems, including slow running queries and resource contention.

•         Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and planning skills

•         Provide knowledge transfer to a designated employee.
