Position: VMWare/LINUX Admin
Duration: LongTerm
Location: Green Bay,WI
Position description:
This position is primarily responsible for support and administration with the Mid-Range Infrastructure team.
This individual will be part of an on call rotation and will be primary day time support.
The Mid-Range Infrastructure team supports 5 major areas. 1. AIX 2. Linux 3. Virtualization (ESX or OVM) 4. Enterprise Storage 5. Enterprise backups
Detailed Description
1. AIX – Build AIX systems (LPARS) using Power VM. Upgrade and maintain AIX operating systems. Troubleshoot issues as they arise. Add, Delete, Change users and file systems. Install Power hardware.
2. Linux - Build Linux systems using VMware or OVM. Upgrade and maintain Linux operating systems. Troubleshoot issues as they arise. Add, Delete, Change users and file systems.
3. Virtualization – Install x86 hardware. Build Virtualized host systems (VMware, OVM). Install, upgrade and maintain operating systems. Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
4. Enterprise Storage – Zone fiber channel to systems. Create, expand and delete luns using NetApp.
5. Enterprise Backups – Administer and support Commvault backup server and clients.
