Role:
QA Analyst – 3+ month contract located in Lewisville (Hwy 121 and MacArthur Blvd)
MUST be able to interview onsite for interview this Friday, May 2nd and start the following week!
Required Skills:
5+ years test case design and execution
5+ years hands-on manual testing
5+ years defect tracking and reporting tools (JIRA preferred for logging defects and change request records)
3+ years web testing experience (can explain how to go to any URL and test it)
2+ years automated test scripting using HP Quick Test Professional (QTP) with VB scripting
3+ years of experience with SQL (ability to query)
Experience working with web and application servers, preferably JBoss 4.2.1
Basic Unix Experience / Skills (open file, read, edit, copy/paste, etc.)
Solid understanding of SDLC and testing methodology
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work in fast-paced, small team environment
Ability to take direction and work independently when required
Very good communication skills (9/10 or better)
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Load/Stress testing using LoadRunner, Grinder
Web security and vulnerability test experience
Experience with Business Objects Data Integrator (DI) for file validation and loading
Familiarity with Oracle, Tomcat, and Apache
Familiarity with UML, HTML, XML, Javascript
Java development experience a plus
JMX Console experience a plus

Propose and develop testing solutions to ensure total test coverage and efficiency. Plan and maintain test environments. Organize and maintain test library. Participate in testing, writing test tools, automating test scenarios.
Duties:
Evaluate and analyze testability of software
Propose and develop testing architectures and solutions to improve efficiency
Develop comprehensive testing techniques to maximize code coverage
Catalogue and maintain test cases/scripts for reusability
Execute manual and automated test cases, analyze and report results; find bugs and defects; verify fixes
Provide accurate and timely estimates for QA and testing timelines and effort
Interact daily with supervisor, team members, developers, and technical managers
Communicate risks, milestones, and QA progress to stakeholder for assigned projects
Responsible for adhering to internal QA processes and proactively suggesting changes to such processes as needed
Develop and maintain information and documentation related to project QA, test processes and systems
Perform requirements analysis and apply technical knowledge to design, write, execute, and debug test cases
