Position: Sr .Net Programmer – in Person only

Location: Richmond, VA

Duration: 9 Months+

 

8-10 Years of Experience. 1300 hours (34 weeks) - April -December 2013 37.5 hours per week

The Client is seeking a .NET programmer/developer with 8+ years of experience in the analysis, design, hands-on development and delivery of web based application.  Work involves documenting requirements and developing data models, writing programs to solve problems, documenting the method and procedures used in program development, and testing and correcting programs.  Candidates must have excellent analytical skills, good knowledge of project life cycles, project management skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.  Experience with SharePoint technology (SharePoint Services, SharePoint Server 2010, InfoPath, Forms Services, Excel Services, Search Business Data Catalog and Web Services) in a variety of business environments is also required.  Must be able to lead, design development and review.  Other skills required for this assignment include:

* Converting data from project review meetings, project specifications, and statements of problems and procedures to create or modify computer programs.

* Communicating with supervisor, data-owner, developer and representatives to resolve questions of program intent, data input/output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls.

* Developing functional and technical specifications/system documentation, and assisting in development in user documentation, test data preparation, and user acceptance test plans.

* Compiling and updating existing documentation to incorporate subsequent revisions.

* Providing hands-on training to developer/DBA, as well as end user/power user training.

* Working under general supervision with limit latitute for initiative and independent judgment.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of computer programming and systems analysis, of computer operations procedures and systems, and of computer programming languages.  Skill in the use of computer equipment.  Strong knowledge in computer networks.  Ability to design programs and systems architecture:  to prepare program specifications: to code, test, and debug computer programs: to interpret technical information relating to computer programming: and to communicate effectively.  Detailed technical skills include:

* Strong knowledge of the .NET framework class libraries and tools.

* Strong working knowledge of and experience with Visual Studio 2008/2010,  SQL, SVR 2008 R2-SQL 3.5-4.0, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, LINQ, ASMX and WCF Web Services, HTML, CSS,  JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, and T-SQL.

* Working Knowledge of SharePoint 2010, developing SharePoint webparts and/or components, and implementing SharePoint-based workflows using various tools (SharePoint Designer and Visual Studio).

* Knowledge of software implementation best practices, systems development processes, and SDLC.

* Experience in application and database security standards and techniques for web applications, including scalability and performance.

* Stong understanding of browser-specific compatibility issues.

* Strong analytical skills and good problem solving skills.

*  Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.

* Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, and responsible team player.

* Must exhibit exceptional customer relationship management skills.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, and performa a variety of complicated tasks.

* Experience with ORM tools, including NHibernate, is preferred.

* Certifications ini .NET and/or SharePoint 2010 application development a plus.
