Description:

Looking for an Oracle E-Business Suite functional specialist in the areas of Federal Financials with demonstrated experience in the procure-to-pay process area. The successful candidate will demonstrate full command of the Oracle E-Business Suite Project 11i / R12 Purchasing, Accounts Payable and General Ledger modules having leveraged them to solve federal financial based accounting problems in the US federal financial systems management environment. The successful candidate will interact with senior government personnel from the agency's Finance and IT groups and as such will possess effective and persuasive written and oral communication skills. The successful candidate will also have demonstrable experience in developing technical solutions – be able "to think out of the box" where a specific problem is not able to be mapped to any Oracle E-Business Suite capabilities available out of the box.

 

Project tasks include:

• Requirements Definition and Gap Analysis

• Process Discovery

• Conceptual solution development / develop alternative technical approaches

• Conference Room Pilot (CRP) planning and facilitation

• Module Configuration (AP, PO, GL and possibly Oracle Loans)

• Integration Testing

• User Procedure documentation

• User Training and Support

 

Must Have Skills:

• 8+ years of Oracle E-Business Suite 11i / R12 implementation experience as a functional consultant with a clear focus on AP, PO, and GL

• Experience leading the requirements gathering, conceptual design, conference room pilot, application configuration and deployment phases of an Oracle Federal Financials implementation project

• Knowledge of Federal Financials and GAAP

• At least 2 full life cycle Oracle Applications implementations, including at least one implementation of PO, AP and GL

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Core consulting skills – be able to work as a member of the team consisting of other contractors, vendors and federal government personnel

 

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge / experience with Oracle Loans module and its capabilities

• Understanding of the technical components (SQL*Plus; PL/SQL) necessary to troubleshoot / triage system issues

• Experience working with Oracle On-Demand hosting
