BI Architect
Location: Detroit
As the Business Intelligence Architect, the candidate will be helping to drive strategy and best practices for Business Intelligence reporting through the use of the SAP Business Objects solution.
The BI Architect is an SAP Business Objects software expert and will assure the optimum usage of the tool to maximize its benefits. In this position, you will work with the end users to understand their needs and ensure the ETL, data warehouse, universes, and data marts are structured to best suit their reporting requirements. The BI Architect will also consult & advise the end users on the best practices for reporting and support software and hardware upgrades for the tool.
Primary responsibilities include:
· Broad based information technology experience in business intelligence and data warehousing
· Development using SAP BEx, BOBJ Webi, Dashboard Designer, Universes and other BOBJ toolsets
· Install and configure BOBJ Server, Data Services Server, and BO Client tools
· Troubleshoot integration points with BOBJ
· Establish and maintain BOBJ portal integration
· Assists with overall BI infrastructure, ETL and BI (front-end) tools
· Performance tuning
· Use/Apply best practices within BOBJ modeling/universe concepts
· Publishing iViews, Queries and objects
Job Requirements:
· Must have Bachelor degree
· Overall experience of 7-10 years in SAP BI suite of products, and a minimum of 3-5 years' experience SAP Business Objects experience (including Webi, Crystal reports, Designer, and Xcelcisus) required.
· Relevant reporting/analysis experience in the Sales, Marketing or Finance fields.
· Minimum 3 years data warehousing experience including data modeling, ET practices and querying RDBMS using sql required.
· Extensive client facing role, needing excellent communication and written skills.
· Strong knowledge of data warehouse concepts, technologies. This includes data modeling, data sourcing, data transformation, loading, cleansing, data integrity checking and end user tools.
· Previous industry experience with major ERP systems and ecommerce (JDE, Oracle EBS, or SAP) is big plus
