Senior PL/SQL Developer

Pittsburgh, PA

6-12 months

$55/hr

Locals prefer. Face2Face Interview. Must have eight years of experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in the requirements analysis and detail design of object oriented software applications 

• Analyze business systems requirements and design technical solutions based on those requirements 

• Develop and support new software applications 

• Design, document, test, and implement application features and enhancements 

• Contribute to software development process standards 

• Develop Oracle PL/SQL procedures and packages 

• Develop technical specification documents 

• Support and enhance existing programs and modules 

• Participate in code reviews 

• Assisting Product Support with production issues 

• Thoroughly understand all the technical aspects of relational database design and data modeling

 

REQUIREMENTS

• Four-year degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience 

• Minimum eight years of experience in systems analysis and programming, addressing unique issues of architecture and data management 

• Minimum five years Oracle development experience required 

• Knowledge and experience of all aspects of the software development process 

• Strong Oracle SQL and Oracle PL/SQL skills 

• Previous SQL tuning experience required, database tuning a plus 

• Knowledge of relational databases, Structured Query Language (SQL), and Unix operating system 

• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks 

• Strong communication and technical skills 

• Excellent knowledge of Object-oriented Modeling, Analysis, Design, and Programming 

• Experience working in integrated product development team environment 

• Experience with coordinating small projects a plus

• Experience with data modeling a plus
