Job Description:

Sr Process Engineer, Business / Systems Analyst for PPM Team: 
Current State: 
There is a technical team in place, but limited BA / SA capacity in Corporate IT to complete the normal SDLC deliverables of requirements, process engineering, external design, UAT testing, training and communication. 
Corporate IT leadership has a desire and expectation of implementing PPM specifically to determine information on the resources who work on delivery and a full view into the work they are doing. 
Resource(s) Need: 
Business and System Analysis resources are missing from the PPM team. This resource will be expected to: research problems, engineer processes, participate in design discussions to recommend software and systems changes to improve usability, and coordinate with development to meet business and data feed requirements. They will be familiar with a variety of IT productivity tools in the marketplace, ideally HP PPM. They will understand business context how to translate user requests and needs into technical specifications. This role is key translator between users and IT developers/testers. 
The successful candidate for this role will: 
• Plan and document a technical system flow from the ground up (current and "to-be") 
• Interact with customers to learn and document business requirements that are then used to produce business requirements documents 
• Author and iterate on the business requirements to generate technical requirements 
• Interact with designers / programmers to understand software limitations 
• Help programmers during system development, ex: provide use cases, flowcharts or even Database design 
• Perform final user acceptance testing including test strategies, scripts and execution 
• Deploy the completed system to production, review and understand post-production inquires/tickets/user requests 
• From documented requirements; create user manuals and / or training materials 
The successful candidate will have the following skills/capabilities/experience: 
• Be a self-starter, demonstrate initiative and be a team player 
• Demonstrated stakeholder management at user level, building consensus as well as excellent facilitation abilities 
• 5-8 years total experience in various roles including: business/systems analyst, process engineer, process documentation, training execution 
• 3+years experience translating business needs to IT solutions in a BA / SA role, but particularly in collecting requirements from cross functional user base, conducting focus groups, reconciling differing needs to consensus 
• Experience with IT productivity processes and tools (Resource Management, Portfolio and Project Management, Release Management, Financial Management) a plus 
• Ability to facilitate medium to small groups of users to elicit process and requirements 
• Ability to communicate the proposed solution to non-technical and technical users in terms that they can understand; act as a bridge between the two groups 
• Ability to produce quality documentation (process, requirements) that is easy to follow across the various groups of end users 
• Bachelor's degree, ideally in Information Systems or Finance
