This is our direct-client opening for a Senior SQL Database / Business Intelligence Developer located in Seattle, WA. This is a 6+ month contract and our client is looking to hire ASAP.
Responsibilities:
Gather & document customer requirements
Perform complex adhoc analysis
Establishing criteria for unit, integration and acceptance testing
Owns removing impediments from the team
Focuses on continuous process improvements across technical as well as business areas
Provide solutions to data and / or processing issues within the Financial Systems environment
Write SQL to understand source system data as well as identifying potential data quality issues
Ability to read and understand dimensional and normalized data models
Perform SQL, ETL and Reporting development for complex requirements
Coach and mentor Team members in all areas applicable for their success
Maintain strong and effective working relationships with Product Management, Engineering, and IT teams as well as our Business Partners
Required Experience:
In depth experience delivering complex SQL and reporting solutions
In depth experience working with cross-functional Teams as well as Customers collaborating on requirements
5+ years working in a Financial and / or Data Warehousing environment
5+ years experience with Transact SQL
3 to 5+ years experience with SSIS
1 to 3+ years experience working with .Net technologies in application programming
1+ years experience working in an Agile development process (Scum, XP, Kanban)
1+ years experience with SSRS
Preferred Experience:
Prior experience designing and building logical / physical data models
Minimum of 10 years related experience with emphasis in Database engineering and development life cycles with at least 3 years experience involving architectural / leadership responsibilities
Experience working / leading a distributed development model
