AIX System Engineer
Coppell, TX
6+ Months with extensions
Must-haves
Minimum 5 years experience with IBM Power (pSeries)/AIX systems administration
Installation and configuration of system hardware and software, and application packages for AIX
pSeries system and software upgrades
Troubleshooting customer systems
Pre-sales support including site visits, system design and implementation recommendations
Strong knowledge of the IBM Power Systems platform as well as the AIX operating system,
AIX Systems Administration experience.
Excellent communication skills

Daily you will be working with an IBM Premier Business Partner and a leading provider of integrated server, storage, and software solutions has an immediate opportunity for a Systems Engineer with advanced AIX systems management and implementation skills in the Dallas area. You will provide pre-sales and post-sales consulting, and on-site support to our clients in the areas of AIX systems integration (Systems installation and configuration, systems upgrades and migrations, logical partition management, VIOS, performance analysis & tuning, etc). You may be required to do some out-of-town travel.
