Back End Java Engineer

Seattle,WA

Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a manager.

Responsibilities will include supporting series of requests/bugs that come in from any of our 8 owned and operation television stations and communicating resolution/status/etc. to the affected parties. • They will work in conjunction with the front end development team to provide full end-to-end support for our stations 8 responsive websites

5 years' experience as a backend java engineer • Excellent communication skills required to both peers and non-technical cohorts • Ability to pay extreme attention to detail and customer centric thinking. 

Must have solid java experience

Experience with Maven and Git/source control is preferred 

• Experience using TDD practices and using JUnit/TestNG/PowerMock is preferred
