Role	Powerbuilder Developer
Location	Salem, OR
Duration	6 Months

 

Job Description:

Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. Supports and installs software applications, operating systems. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Provides technical support to project team members.

Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and at least six years or equivalent experience in the field. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Minimum of six years' experience as a Senior PowerBuilder Developer on a Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise DBMS.

Other desirable experience is as follows:

• Demonstrated experience with large-scale complex technical architectures that include interface with other large-scale systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge with logging of communication between large-scale systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge in the handshake between interfacing systems to ensure proper reception and synchronization of records.
• Demonstrated experience with large-scale remote synchronization systems that synchronize between Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise and Adaptive Server Anywhere.
• Demonstrated experience with Sybase Open Server between Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise and Mainframe CICS systems
