Job Title       : Systems Analyst 

Job location    : O'Fallon, MO .

Job Duration : 12 months to start (likely 12 month extension) 

Job Description:- 

• Targeting a Systems Analyst 

• Will work closely with BA's

• Business Rules Engines experience a plus (IBM ODM used by team)

• SQL required (esp on Oracle DB).  Used for querying

• Team is Agile (currently using SAFe framework)

Major Accountabilities: 

Accountabilities will include some but not necessarily all depending upon specific role: 

•Work with business and development team to define needs, plan and optimize our fraud rules strategies

•Data Analysis as it relates to fraud strategies

•Provide technical analysis of product or application hardware and software to ensure that business and functional requirements can be met 

•Provide technical support to Business Owners during implementation of new products/services 

•Provide subject matter expertise for support escalations 

•Testing and working with TCOE staff 

•Prioritize and identify cross application/system enhancements 

•Determine development impacts to current processing and work with programmers and users to ensure accuracy of enhancements 

•Develop and execute complex test plans 

•Perform analysis of system requirements and work closely with developers 

•Create design considerations that assists team with front-end changes 

•Lead review sessions of technical requirements 

•Manage defect resolution process 

•Collaborate with development staff on software designs

Education: 

•Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.

Knowledge / Experience: 

•3 – 5 years experience in related field 

•Strong technical knowledge and capability 

•Demonstration of MC Core Competencies 

• Experienced with technologies such as SQL, Oracle, business rule engines

•Financial services or payments experience

•Experience with IBM ODM a plus

Skills/ Abilities: 

•High-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment. 

•High degree of initiative and self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities. 

•Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative and organization skills. 

•Ability to train/guide more junior resources.

Job Description:-

• Infrastructure Design with engineering work

• All design work is within Middleware

• Good communication is key

• Infrastructure is designed on MS Visio

• F5 Load Balancers

• JBOSS and Websphere (common on team)

• Tomcat (team will be using this)

• Webseal is a huge plus

• 60% is gathering requirements from the team.  35% is design work.  5% troubleshooting.  

Major Accountabilities:

•Design and deliver internet infrastructure solutions that satisfy member, product, service and backbone requirements. 

•Resolve internet architectural and operational problems impacting infrastructure and product availability and performance globally.

•Research and evaluate new technology for possible deployment in MasterCard's internet infrastructure.

•May assume lead and total accountability for ongoing regional projects as assigned; including responsibility for planning; time and cost control; resource utilization and implementation. 

•Implement, manage and support internet infrastructure components while leveraging current standards and best practices.

•Perform problem diagnosis; performance tuning; capacity planning and configuration management for MasterCard internet components.

•Assure system stability and future compatibility by monitoring production execution of all relevant systems.

Education:

•BS Degree or equivalent combination of experience and formal education.

Knowledge / Experience:

•Experience in internet fundamentals related to web servers, application servers, internet security and other internet technologies.

•Thorough knowledge and understanding of network and operating system principles.

•Thorough knowledge in one or more core functions related to internet infrastructure design and/or web administration.

Skills/ Abilities:

•Must be high-energy, proactive, detail-oriented and able to function under pressure in an independent environment.

•Must have a high degree of initiative and self-motivation and demonstrate the ability to drive results.

•Strong communication skills both verbal and written and strong relationship and collaborative skills and organizational skills with the ability to work as a member of matrix based diverse and geographically distributed project team. 

•Willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities is critical.
