Position: Senior Django Engineer
Location: Santa Clara, CA(Locals Only)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Lead development of the web UI with modern browser frameworks, REST APIs, web security and development tools (IDEs, application orchestration, and deployment tools) on multiple projects to organic traffic and optimize our student workflows
Collaborate on design, scalability and performance of our interactive lessons platform to significantly enhance the Chegg Tutors product offering
Partner across engineering, data science, design, marketing, product and other members of the Chegg Tutors team to develop ideal solutions
Write modular, secure, and well-tested front-end code (Django, JS, HTML, and CSS) to implement these solutions
Own documentation and deployment of your code and solutions to our users
Requirements:
BS (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related discipline
Expert knowledge of Django with a commanding grasp of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
5+ years of industry experience developing web applications with Django, JavaScript programming frameworks, tooling or libraries like Backbone.js
Strong Computer Science fundamentals with competencies in software design, data structures, and problem-solving
Have a passion for helping students and front-end code
Self-motivated; independent, organized and proactive
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
Familiarity with CSS processing frameworks like, Less
Familiarity with a front-end build tool like Brunch or Gulp
Familiarity with a modularization API such as RequireJS or AMD
Familiarity with front-end testing tools such as Mocha, Chai or Karma
Experience and/or desire to work in an agile and iterative development team
Available to commit to an approximately 14 week assignment
