Position: Mainframe Systems Programmer / Developer
Location: Pittsburg, PA
Duration: 12+ months
Requirements
· What they need: CICS programmer with Z/OS experience. Experience with MQseries/WebSphere MQ is a big plus.
· This is a Systems Programmer NOT an Application programmer.
· Will Skype hire but prefer someone at least from the east coast.
Mainframe Systems Programmer w/ deep skills in CICS and MQ. We are seeking an addition to our team to assist us in maintaining our CICS and MQ environments. In this role you will be focused on CICS. You will need to hook into IDMS while creating new CICS regions.
• Analyzing, coding, testing, and supporting application software
• Understanding complex systems and system architecture
• Creating technical designs
• Providing test and production support
• Maintaining, optimizing, and creating regions with CICS
• Assisting with migrating custom applications to meet unique interface requirements
• Designing, developing, and testing specialized application software tools, including automated balancing controls, SLA reporting, and self-service testing tools, to enable remote access and operation
Required Skills
• Experience in mainframe systems programming z/OS, COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, IDMS, SQL, SPUFI, MQ, and TSO/ISPF
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Banking / financial experience preferred
• Multi-platform project experience preferred
