We are seeking a Lead Enterprise Architect for our growing Technology Engineering Architecture Center of Excellence (COE) team. The successful candidate will serve as an expert in defining portfolio architecture in alignment with enterprise architecture, business requirements and technology roadmaps.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of architecture roadmap of multiple software products
- Work closely with executives and subject matter experts to establish portfolio architecture strategy, covering the application, data integration and technology domains
- Lead the design efforts in agile SDLC
- Participates in strategic decisions regarding enterprise architecture
- Hands on engagement in pilot, prototyping and performance tuning activities as required by assigned projects
- Champion and evangelize technology standards and SOA
- Work across team, group and business boundaries to drive commonality and reusability in solutions to real-world problems
- Maintain in depth knowledge of Optum and Industry software capabilities, standards, and best practices
Requirements
- 12+ years of full-lifecycle application development experience with a mix of .NET (Java's a plus but not mandatory) web application technologies
- MUST HAVE experience with .NET/Java, SOA, ESB, Web Service design, TOGAF
- 5+ years of software/solution/enterprise architecture experience
- MUST HAVE working knowledge of at least two of the following: .NET, BPMS, Java EE, Spring framework, JMS and SQL Server/Oracle
- Service Oriented Architecture
- Experience with EA framework (e.g. Zachman, TOGAF)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience architecting commercial software solutions with the following characteristics
- Software-as-a-Service
- On-premise (Shrink Wrap) deployment models
- Multi-tenancy
- High volume analytics (synchronous or asynchronous)
- Transaction Processing (e.g. EDI, HL7, XML)
- Decision Support/BI Reporting
- Integration of custom-built and third-party applications
- Big Data architecture
- Experience creating architecture artifacts in alignment with:
- Design patterns/reference architectures
- Corporate security policies and industry regulations
- Agile development
- Experience prototyping and performance tuning applications deployed across multiple operating systems, languages, and computing platforms
- Healthcare Industry experience
Remarks:
Two open positions. Sending resumes direct to manager. This person can sit in either Eden Prairie (MN), Raleigh (NC), or Boston (MA). This individual must have solid communication skills; they will be interacting with the senior management, business side, and technical teams. Need someone with an extremely heavy architecture background who's designed complex applications. Conversion after six months is up to $150k plus 15-20% bonus. Would be open to non local candidates, but would need to work onsite at one of the locations. Would do a skype to hire if the candidates have a lot of experience architecting complex applications.
