POSITION: Control System Engineer

LOCATION: St. Louis ,MO

DURATION: 12+ months

 

Notes - For this role they need someone with strong API as it is the core for this project as well as very strong C# development.

Required Skills - C#: 3-5 years Machine Automation Controls

3-5 years PLC (Ether CAT, CAN Open experience

3-5 years R&D Experience

c# and .net and mvc and engineer and api and "machine controls" and machine and automation and sql or oracle

 

About the project:
• Shop floor to ERP (SAP)
• They Get data from Shop Floor to ERP system and the revers with Engineers for a Custom system (EMS)
• Will transition to an enterprise level system at some point that will be multiple years down the line

 

Technical:
1. C# .NET (they are challenged because each crop has different needs and each has a different contect or enity relationship model, so going across several databases or arch level diagrams in a single system is important)
2. Written in MVC (This is very different than web forms they must have MVC)
3. API (They use this with internal iOT applications - example would be around capturing GIS data) - Current REST will change to a cloud based environment, they will get to learn that.
4. Ajax
5. SQL Server or Oracle
6. Web Services (5,000-8,000 data points per plants in around a 5 second intraval)
7. Reporting is a complementary aspect

3-5 years BSc or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
