Job Title: .Net Developer
Location: Plano, TX

Duration:  3+ Months

 

Job Description:

·         Assist with re-writing scheduling portal for Linux systems

·         Configure scheduling for "outage window"

·         Scripting logic to ensure process adheres to outage window of current VCE Windows/Linux environment

·         Ensure the proper quiescence of applications and databases

·         Assist with testing of scheduling portal

·         Assist with creation of user documentation for scheduling portal

·         Assist with creation of technical documentation for scheduling portal

·         Assist with creation of executive presentation overviewing patching process
 

Experience working in this type of environment details:

·         Linux environment includes: Novell SUSE 11, Novell SUSE 12, RedHat 5, RedHat 6.

·         The systems may contain apache Websweeper

·         The systems may contain one of the following databases: DB2, Oracle, MySQL

·         Current BladeLogic environment is Version 8.6

·         Scheduling Portal is built with .NET, VBScript, IIS on a Windows 2008 platform

·         Linux patching to include service packs and kernel updates

·         Linux snapshot/backups are enabled and functional in the environment

·         The current Linux patching POC has developed a working prototype that is patching Linux webservers in production

·         The current Linux patching prototype has connectivity established to the environment that require patching or updates

·         Current Linux patching levels range from SP1 to SP4. The goal is to patch the Linux systems with SP4 where technically feasible.
