The ideal candidate will have a development background and be very experienced in Performance testing.
Description
Implement performance regression framework for testing the SPS and Internal Applications system using Client Performance Center and Visual Studio-based harness. Create testing solutions in response to changing business or project needs.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Works with development and business to identify top-priority test cases and the performance requirements against which the success will be measured
Consults with project test leads to integrate an application source code with test harness in order to create performance test cases.
Creates performance test cases using .NET application source code and .NET protocol
Defines strategy allowing the relationship between the size of performance regression portfolio and execution effort not to be linear. Defines procedures and checklists to build and incorporate new test cases into existing performance testing portfolio.
For each new addition to performance regression defines testing scope, approach, risks, and assumptions, creates/ and approves test plan based on specific requirements
Documents additions or modifications to existing testing standards and guidelines to facilitate coordination with overall QA Performance team testing methodology.
Designs, builds, and, maintains, prioritizes and executes test cases using .Net and Webservice protocols of Performance Center
Create and maintain load test scenarios, including setup of servers monitoring via SiteScope, Performance Monitor and Performance Navigator
Conducts testing, analyzes results, creates comprehensive Stoplight test results reports and submits to project stakeholders
Communicates test status and metrics to project stakeholders according to performance testing standards after each test
Reports and manages defects according to established processes, ensuring accurate and timely entry into ALM
Leads and/or participates in peer reviews of project deliverables.
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience with Client/Mercury LoadRunner and/or Performance Center
Experience with ADO.NET, .Net remoting, WCF, .Net Security, Web Services and HTTP protocols
Experience with LR plug-ins and Visual Studio
2-3 or more years of experience with .NET and C# development
1-2 or more years of experience using and reporting results with SiteScope
3-4 or more years of experience with the white-box testing
Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
Other Required Qualifications
Demonstrated ability acting as a performance test/project lead across multiple, or larger scale projects, including planning, estimating and prioritizing.
Demonstrated familiarity with performance regression and benchmarking methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to analyze requirements and create efficiently designed and planned test cases.
Demonstrated ability to scale testing efforts to support aggressive Agile-like project timelines.
Proven test design, risk analysis, and prioritization skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with project stakeholders and senior leadership.
Ability to self-motivate, work independently and with minimum supervision.
Ability to multi-task, work with a sense of urgency and adapt to changing requirement and project directions.
Understanding of multiple IT technical platforms, and application development methodologies.
Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours for installations, implementations, and upgrades.
