Position: Application Build Engineer         
Location: CA, San Francisco
Duration: 6 months to 1 year                                                                                       

Description: 

Skill: Application Build Engineer (  Web Application Specific)

1.       BA/BS in Computer Science or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience

2.      5+ years of experience in IT-related systems implementation, application delivery, operations and support

3.       Strong analytical skills, organized,  detail-oriented and self-directed

4.       Strong ability to adapt to and learn new technologies, products, and applications

5.       Strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills

6.       Self-starter and able to complete tasks with minimal support

7.       Experience with three-tier architecture design

8.       Strong leadership and excellent communications skills

9.       Strong documentation skills

 

Web Application specific:

1.       Experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and managing IBM WebSphere Portal Server 7.x/8.x, WebSphere Portal Content Management, IBM WebSphere Application Server V 7.x/8.x and IBM HTTP Server V 7.x/8.x. (preferably WebSphere Portal 8.x and above)

2.       Experience in installation, configuration, upgrade, tuning, security, backup, recovery and upgrades of IBM WebSphere Portal Server in clustered (High Available) environments on Linux platform.

3.       Experience in cloning WebSphere Portal environment and setting up High Available environments

4.       Working experience with automation via. Portal Scripting Interface, wsadmin.sh, JACL/JYTHON, shell scripting, JSON, ant, XML access, config engine etc.

5.       Experience in setting up integrated security access to IBM WebSphere Portal and Single Sign-On to other applications.

6.       Experience with automating builds, deployments, environment and configuration etc. using scripting.

7.       Strong working knowledge and hands-on support experience with Microsoft Windows and UNIX/Linux server operating systems.

8.       Experience working with Source Control Management Team (SCRM), Developers, QA, Network Team and Project Managers etc.

9.       Well versed in web application security and ability to work with security professionals to insure a secure web application platform.

10.   Good working knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, Java EE, LDAP, Active Directory, XML, Web Services, authentication protocols, SSH, SFTP.

11.   Good understanding of IBM WebSphere Portal development and J2EE technologies portlets, skin/themes, ear, war, jar, jsp, xml, properties, etc.

Additional Skills:

·    Experience in optimizing IT services through automation, standardization and continual improvement

·        Experience with IBM PureSystems, WMB/Data Power, MQ, DB2, WODM

·    Experience with Trizetto Facets application platform: www.trizetto.com/hpsolutions/facets

·         Experience with EDIFECS application platform: www.edifecs.com

·         Experience with web-based and voice recognition application platforms

·         Experience supporting Kony mobile products

·     Healthcare/Payer operations experience

·         General knowledge of RDMS skills

·      General understanding of SDLC process and best practices
