Title: SAP Project Manager with Mercury application

Alpharetta, GA

 

Job Summary:

·         The Technical Project Manager is responsible for management of technical / environment projects in the Mercury landscape, especially the SAP components, including Upgrades, Support Pack Implementations, Environment Refreshes for all Mercury application environments to support both Program and  MSSC activities related to the ongoing build, maintenance and testing of releases.

Job function:

·         Successfully plan and execute technical projects to agreed schedule, budget and scope/requirements

·         Manage the relevant project management processes - i.e. initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close, and the supporting processes e.g. scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, stakeholder management

·         Monitor and control the work to ensure that the project/work stream remains on track and in control

·         Plan for and manage change

·         Reports on variances to the approved program/project baseline

·         Close the project to formalize acceptance of the project outcomes and release project resources

·         Interface and communicate with project team (Vendor and client), management and stakeholders

·         Manage project work and resources to enable successful and timely completion of the project/work stream

·         Perform appropriate quality

·         Delivery of project aligned to overall business and technology strategies and architectures

·         Work within defined governance processes

·         Manage external contracts and suppliers where required

·         Develop objectives, phasing and content of the project/work stream to deliver on the business case benefits, budget and timescales

·         Manage to the objectives and plan by thorough risk, issue and change management

·         Proven track record in Environment Project delivery for highly-complex and integrated applications and environments

·         Good knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle 

·         Deep understanding of complex SAP implementation programs with dual paths to production

·         Extensive experience working with 3rd party vendors as service providers

·         Proven experience with a Fortune 500 company working in a global environment

·         Excellent PM skills

 

Experience :

·         Minimum of 8 years IT related experience

·         Approximately 5 years experience in an IT Project Management related role

·         SAP experience

·         Bachelor degree in related discipline, or equivalent work experience

·         One or more professional certificates to supplement formal education

·         Good experience in client-facing roles
