Role : PeopleSoft Developer

Location : Austin, TX

Job Description:

·         Responsible for working with other Functional and Technical Teams, DBAs and business users on system requirement gathering, analysis, design, testing and implementation of 9.2 functionality;

·         Evaluating existing customizations in 8.8 and differences between PeopleSoft version 8.8 and CAPPS 9.2;

·         Responsible for identification, documentation, and reporting of project risks and issues to Project Functional Lead and Project Team for resolution;

·         Leads the functional development for one of the four (4) modules by working with Subject Matter Experts (SME), Business Process Owners, and Technical developers to design, build and deploy CAPPS/PeopleSoft 9.2;

·         Coordinates and executes the functional development meetings between stakeholders, resources, managers and Project Team to ensure overall completeness, accuracy and quality of end product;

·         Responsible for executing to the project plan and schedule throughout the various phases of the project life cycle;

·         Responsible for developing the Functional Design and ensuring a clean hand off of Functional Design Documents (FDD) and Interface Maps to the Technical Team to ensure that they are clearly understood prior to Tech Design and Build;

·         Works with the technical team to define and test any potential customizations to the solution, including data conversions, reports, interfaces and functional enhancements of the CAPPS Texas Baseline of PeopleSoft Financials version 9.2;

·         Possess PeopleSoft Version 9.2 expertise in one of the following modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Asset Management, Purchasing;

·         Supports the evaluation of existing PeopleSoft version 8.8 customizations against the CPA-delivered CAPPS Texas Baseline 9.2 version to determine Keep/Drop functionality;

·         Conducts Joint Application Design/Conference Room Pilot requirement sessions with management, staff and consultants, while assuring that accurate and complete documentation is collected and retained as part of the project archive;

·         Responsible for ensuring consistent use of standardized processes and forms to manage project documentation, including but not limited to, Functional Design Documents, Key Design Decisions, Change Controls, Risk Registers, Scope Documentation, Work Packages and others as needed;

·         Works with the training department to ensure proper (UPK) training delivery before projects are implemented;

·         Responsible for ensuring Fit/Gap analysis is accurately documented in the Requirements Traceability Matrix by the Project Team;

·         Configures the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Asset Management or Purchasing module to meet business requirements;

·         Takes an ownership role in the overall development and execution of the detailed Project Schedule with SME/Business Owners and Project Team;

·         Works with Support Center team to transfer knowledge, mitigate risks and resolve issues throughout implementation as needed;

·         Completes tasks in an efficient and timely manner while keeping project stakeholders informed;

·         Provides various administrative services and reports necessary to maintain the project budget, schedule and quality.

·         The worker should have extensive experience within PeopleSoft CAPPS Texas Baseline version 9.2 Functionality and Configuration Capability. The worker should have a history of success implementing their specific module in PeopleSoft using IT project management best practices.

Mandatory Requirements:

·         8 years of Experience as a PeopleSoft Functional Module Lead for the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing and/or Asset Management modules for multiple large PeopleSoft projects.

·         8 years of Experience in designing, creating, and implementing large complex high availability PeopleSoft Financials modules.

·         8 years of Experience with ERP Development Lifecycles and Processes.

·         8 years of Experience performing PeopleSoft Unit Test, System Test, Integration Test, and User Acceptance Test

·         8 years of Experience with developing requirements from Business owners for PeopleSoft Modules

·         8 years of Experience conducting design sessions with subject matter experts and business process owners to meet business requirements with minimal customizations.

·         8 years of Experience with Microsoft Suite (Projects, Visio, Excel, Word, Power Point, SharePoint)

·         8 years of Proven project team building skills

·         8 years of Experience writing detailed Functional Design Documents (FDDs)

·         8 years of Ability to alter project direction based on business needs or legislative directions

·         6 years of Experience in IT project planning, research, analysis and development

·         4 years of Experience writing and reviewing detailed test scripts for System, Integration, and User Acceptance Test Phases.

·         2 years of Experience with configuration documentation and review in PeopleSoft 9.2

·         2 years of Experience teaming with business owners and technical staff in a complex, large scale PeopleSoft environment 8.8 to 9.2

·         2 years of Experience with PeopleSoft version 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.53

·         Experience with the State of Texas Baseline PeopleSoft 9.x Modules G/L, A/P, AM, PO

·         Strong Communication, analytical and interpersonal skills at all levels of an organization.

·         Strong Experience with the PeopleSoft 9.2 Modules G/L, A/P, AM, PO

·         Strong Experience collaborating and coordinating with other Functional and Technical staff to enable business processes needs reliably and accurately in a PeopleSoft Implementation.

Preferred Qualities:

·         8 years of Public sector experience (Federal, State or Local Government).

·         8 years of experience Understanding of computer related tools, methods, platforms and operating systems.

·         8 years of experience with all aspects of Documentation, Planning, Design, Build, Test, and Deploy Phases within PeopleSoft versions 8.X through 9.2 Modules for G/L, A/P, AM, PO.

·         4 years of experience with PeopleSoft User Productivity Kit (UPK)

·         Strong Ability to meet functional team deadlines while maintaining an even disposition under pressure

·         Strong Experience working through development of Interfaces with Technical Team through design, build and test

·         Strong, Good teamwork skills, ability to collaborate with other functional and technical staff on the project.

·         Strong interpersonal skill and the ability to collaborate effectively on diverse teams
