Essential Skills

 Position is for a Senior Developer. The primary objectives for this candidate will be to develop the architecture and working solution for a Business Intelligence application.  In addition, this individual will be responsible for developing the training and documentation materials for the new product.  

Traceability of requirements and test cases will be produced and tracked through JIRA and Confluence. Work with the Development and Product organizations to ensure that proper requirements and functional description are thorough and testable.

Applicant should have 8+years as a proven web and database developer as described below and experience working in a DevOps and Cloud-based environment.

 

Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills

• Advanced degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science / Engineering

• 5+ years of experience working with C#. Including WPF (click once deployment) and WCF using Visual Studio 2012 or higher

• 7+ years of experience working with SQL (Oracle 11g+ experience preferred)

• 5+ years of experience working with XML

• Experience with .Net Framework 4/4.5, IIS 7, Microsoft TFS required

• Experience with Pentaho or Click View reporting tools required ( having knowledge is an advantage).      

• Experience with Cloud based solutions (AWS / Azure) solutions a plus

• Familiarity with Telerik UI and Spreadsheet Gear a plus

• Experience with HTML5  for mobile platforms a plus

• Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently

• Ability to work in multiple phases of system design and delivery

• Excellent customer service attitude, communication skills (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills

 

Roles and responsibility:

 

• Develops an understanding of Travelport Business Intelligence product offerings at business and technical levels

• Takes ownership in areas designated by software team leads (including existing product maintenance, new development, and research tasks)

• Reviews business requirement specifications, asks pertinent questions to fully understand scope, and is self-initiative in translating into code

• Provides accurate project / task estimates for management

• Demonstrates interest in improving technical awareness within Travelport Business Intelligence

• Acquires new development skills as needed to keep Travelport Business Intelligence a leader in the airline commerce space
