Position: Senior Oracle DBA (only locals or nearby)

Job Description

·         Assist in creating and maintaining Oracle Databases for test, development and production environments.

·         Candidate will analyze, test, and implement physical database design, responsible for documentation as well as maintain current patches.

·         Candidate will ensures data recovery, maintenance, data integrity, and space requirements for physical database are met through formulation and monitoring of policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management.

·         Candidate will assist with audits, provide capacity planning and best practices for the future production/development/test environments.

·         Responsible for conducting performance assessments and tuning as related to the database system.

·         Candidate must be comfortable working in a team environment as well as with system administrators, technical managers, developers, and architects. 

·         Candidates must have at least 10+ years of Oracle DBA experience, ideally with Oracle 11.2.x, experience applying patches, troubleshooting database issues, managing space allocations as well as RAC, ASM, and Active Dataguard.

·         Candidates must have experience working in a Unix/Linux environment and be comfortable using command lines/prompts.

·         Candidate will be working normal hours 8-5 (will not be on call)

 

Required:

·         10+ years Oracle DBA Experience (patching, partitioning, diagnosing, troubleshooting)

·         Experience working with Oracle 11.2.x 

·         5+ Years ASM (Automatic Storage Management) RAC (Real Application Clusters) 

·         Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment and comfortable logging into databases using command line interface (Candidates who have only worked in Windows environments will not work) 

·         Local Candidates
