Job Description/Questionnaire:
* Given a hostname, eg. myservice.acme.net, how does DNS resolution work on either a FreeBSD or Linux server ? Describe the steps under the hood.
* Tell me about a major design problem you faced, how you solved it, the outcome of your decision, and what you might have done differently.
* Difference between static and non static nested classes in Java. Provide code example for each type nested class, and explain why uses one type vs the other type.
* What's the most complex language feature that you've used in the programming language that you're most familiar with? How/Why was it used?
* Your application code is stalling after being deployed, and has become unresponsive. How would you diagnose this? Assume that the application can be either a C/++ or Java application.
* Describe the pros and cons between scaling horizontally and vertically. Provide a design or implementation example to demonstrate why a particular scaling strategy is used.
