Position:: AIX Build Admin

Location:: Scottsdale, AZ/ Woonsocket, RI

Duration:: 1+ year

 

Responsibilities :-

 

·         Building new server's from scratch including VIO server's and VIO clients

·         Install software, apply patches, manage file systems, monitor performance and troubleshoot alerts from monitoring tools.

·         System failure analysis and recovery; insuring the consistency and integrity of file systems.

·         Business continuity planning and implementation

·         Hardware/software configuration and management

·         Liaison with vendors/ customer for new hardware / software install , technology upgrades and troubleshooting

·         Manage and lead hardware and software migration and upgrade efforts of varying size and complexity.

 

Required Technical Skills

 

·         5-6 years of professional systems maintenance experience in a UNIX data center environment.

·         Virtual I/O server build and configuration

·         Experienced to work on AIX 6.1 and AIX 7.1

·         NPIV and VSCSI disk mappings

·         EMC Power path will be add on

·         Knowledge of EMC disk system from Server side

·         Knowledge of ASM disk system

·         VIO's up gradation or migration

·         AIX up gradation or migration

·         Good Knowledge of LVM

·         Performance tuning

·         Knowledge of power HA will be add on.
