Title: Sr. Network Engineer

Location: Eagan, MN

Duration: 6+ Months

Rate: $55/hr on C2C

 

Job Summary:

This engineer description is for a Sr. Systems engineer that is a member of the Network Services Team; specializing in firewall, VPN and other perimeter and data network technologies. This role may lead and plan as well as assist in the implementations of perimeter security and data/voice network technologies, hardware and software based on internal department and external project requirements.

Network connectivity includes multiple data centers, client locations, outsourced contact centers and other partner and supplier locations. Network consists of converged voice and data applications.

This person will participate in a collaborative forum with other infrastructure staff for some implementations as well as have opportunities for independent work.

 

Required Skills:

·          Check Point (expert)

·          F5

·          IDS

·          IPS

 

Responsibilities:

·          Interfacing with various vendors, clients, and others for the implementation and support of networking products and services – such as VPN B2B/LAN tunnels using Cisco ASA, Firewall rule additions, SSL VPN (Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint, PaloAlto)

·          Install and support various perimeter security devices and voice (maintain and update configurations, update code etc. for Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint, PaloAlto)

·          Contribute to perimeter and overall network future infrastructure architecture and support strategy.

·          Collaborate with other staff and departments to meet department and project deadlines.

·          Collaborate with IT Security departments to mitigate security vulnerabilities.

·          Document network infrastructure changes

·          Use ITIL process and procedures for change, incident and problem management of perimeter network environments.
