Combined Telecom/Video duties include:
• Testing of hardware, peripherals and associated equipment.
• Independence and diligence in completing work in a timely manner.
• Proposing and documenting new design solutions to problem areas.
• Monitoring of work tasks, and reporting on statuses of those tasks to management.
• Creates and updates relevant documentation in supporting the enterprise.
• Assist Traffic design with network requirements, quoting, implementation and ongoing support to bring online new ITMS devices (cameras, signals, WTMC repeater sites, detection, etc.).
Qualifications:
The candidate should have at least 5 years' experience in computer hardware implementation, troubleshooting, and support.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows/Linux platform operations, hardware/software functions and capabilities.
• Prior experience in configuring and maintaining optimized streaming video protocols on various platforms.
• Prior experience in estimating and scheduling own work under minimal supervision.
• Proven track record of resolving all assigned issues in accordance with established service level agreements.
• Prior experience documenting configurations/processes/troubleshooting efforts.
• Prior experience in VLAN & WAN architecture/design.
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced team environment.
Candidate will be required to travel in the support role throughout the state as required for ITMS site/field visits

| Experience with 802.11G wireless implementations and support | ||
| Experience translating technical terms into layman's language, and communicating both technical and non-technical information orally and in writing. | ||
| Experience working with serial communications (RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485) | ||
| Experience configuring and supporting dynamic routing protocol Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) | ||
| Experience configuring and supporting the exterior gateway protocol known as Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) | ||
| Experience working with video encoders/decoders over IP and video control software in web and client server environments. | ||
| Experience with design, build and end-to-end support of streaming video platform (CCTV) |
