Position: UI/UX Developer

Location: Woonsocket, RI

Duration: 6-12+ months

 

Job Description:

Position Summary

This position requires that you excel in all components of Rich Internet Application development / UI Engineering / Web Development skills (CSS 2 / 3, Advanced JavaScript, HTML 4 / 5, AJAX, Responsive Design, UI Performance tuning, consuming Rest Web Services/APIs, Front end Performance Tuning.

Produce user interface assets for software development using HTML, Javascript, XML, JSP, JAVA, CSS among others.

Work with a team of UI/Java developers on the implementation of common user interface frameworks and solutions.

Interact with Quality Assurance personnel during system testing phases of application development.

Develop standards and document them for future UI developer on boarding.

                    

Required Qualifications

Technical Requirements:

Expert knowledge of object oriented JavaScript.

Specific knowledge of JQuery and either Bootstrap/Backbone/ Angular

Expert knowledge of web technologies (HTML/CSS).

Working Knowledge of Web Accessibility (WCAG 2.0, 508 Compliance) requirements.

Ability to write high-performance, reusable code for UI components.

Experience in Responsive and Mobile Design.

Experience with consuming restful (json) web services client side.

Experience designing / maintaining / tuning high-performance code to ensure optimal load time.

Passion for performance debugging and benchmarking.
