Sr. QA/ETL Tester(Min 8 years)
Duration: 6 months
Responsibilities:
· Work concurrently on several projects, each with specific instructions that may differ from project to project
· Create and maintain test cases in Quality Center and/or Test Director
· Actively participate in walkthrough, inspection, review and user group meetings for quality assurance
· Apply solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, Data Warehouse ETL and QA process.
· Participate in Requirements and Design reviews, plan and estimate the QA effort. -Plan test strategies in accordance with project scope and develop schedules to meet delivery dates.
· Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
· Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or defect retests, or usability
· Develop process for Data Analysis and testing Data flow.
· Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
· Document defects, using a HP Quality Center, and report defects to Project teams -Identify, analyze, and document problems with functionality, output files or tables.
· Create Metrics and status reports for projects.
· Assist business users in defining User Acceptance Testing, test cases and plans
Software tools/skills needed to perform these daily responsibilities:
• Database – Oracle, TeraData, DB2 or SQL Server
Must have skills/attributes:
• Minimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance/Testing experience
• Minimum of 3 years of relational database experience , strong in writing SQL Scripts experience in an onshore/offshore model environment
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Quality Center/ALM
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with full Software Development Life Cycle within a formal methodology
• Minimum of 3 years of validation test experience with Data Warehouse and ETL applications
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Skills/attributes that are a plus:
• SAS
• Unix or Perl Scripting
Hadoop Developer
1. Pig- Pig is a high-level platform for creating MapReduce programs used with Hadoop.
2. Hive- data warehouse software facilitates querying and managing ... Previously it was a subproject of Apache Hadoop.
3. Falcon- Falcon is a framework for simplifying data management and pipeline processing in Apache Hadoop
The group is ultimately looking for developers that can come in and bring the data over the Hadoop environment -Candidates that also have the advance data warehouse background at an architecture level will be a value adds as well. The platform/tech stack is already built internally, so they really need people to come in that have the ability and core competencies to bring data in using the development tools such as Pig, Hive and Falcon...
The goal of this group is to have people onsite that understands the pig script, writers that understand pig, hive etc. and also understand the code base in general to have minimal ramp up within the group moving forward.
For Project Manager/Scrum master Position: (3 Positions)
Must have:
• 10-15 years of experience in leading the projects in PM role.
• 4-5 years of experience in leading Data Warehousing projects in PM/Scrum Master Role.
• 3-4 years of experience with Agile Project methodology
• Health Care experience
Must have:
• PMP certification
• Scrum Master certification
System Analyst: (1 Position)
On a daily basis this person will make recommendations to stakeholders related to application and data integrity and performance based on their analysis. This will include heavy business stakeholder interaction, working with a project manager. The environment this person will be in an Oracle/Teradata data warehouse environment day to day for the majority of their analysis. This is a new team, and this person will need to build subject matter expertise in the area of data analysis.

a) Design and maintain core database assets using the data architecture and database design guidelines for consistent, standardized, integrated, auditable, traceable, and quality data
b) Determine proper Surrogate Key / ID management strategy
c) Facilitate group discussions to obtain business and technical requirements, clarify business rules and data design requirements
d) Perform logical data modeling using both relational and dimensional modeling techniques as appropriate.
e) In depth knowledge of Source to Target mapping, Design specifications / Functional Specifications Document, Column-level & Table-level transformation rules

Vision, powerpoint, excel
Sql query type tool's - toad or equivalent
What skills/attributes are a must have?

What skills/attributes are nice to have?
Working knowledge of ETL frameworks within Data Warehouse
