Performance test Engineer
Glenview, IL

Looking for an Experienced Performance tester to join and assist the QA testing team to identify application capacity and system performance issues and bollttlenecks. Someone who will not only identify problems but offer and implement solutions. The 2 major applications are CRM and a major OEA (Order Entry Application)
Having experience doing performance testing specifically with JAVA applications is a MUST. Must be a proven and very experienced Perfomance Tester specifically with HP/Load. Must possess excellent communications skills.Experienced with WebShere or WebLogic or TomCat application server strongly preferred. A background working in an AGILE development environment designing testing approaches and strategies for major Spints strongly preferred.
Performance Test Engineer, coordinates with lead project members such as Project Managers, business analysts, developers, infrastructure teams and testers to ensure that the performance and capacity of applications and infrastructure meet the level of quality demanded by the business.
Required Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience utilizing HP LoadRunner, native monitors and scripting protocols (Minimum of HTTP/HTML, AJAX TruClient and Web Services)
Hands-on experience of developing scripts, designing test scenarios, test execution, monitoring, analyzing results and reporting performance bottlenecks
3+ years' experience in developing Performance Test Plans and Performance test Scenarios using requirements and design documents while specifying Test Approach, Strategy, Scope, Architecture, Environment, Roles and Responsibilities
Proficient at performance testing and troubleshooting applications in a variety of environments, including JAVA, IBM WebSphere, SQL Server, Windows, Linux, mainframe DB2
Experience of LoadRunner setup / installation / Administration / Troubleshoot / R& D
2+ years experience in any of the following Monitoring tools - Sitescope, dynaTrace or other Java monitoring tools
Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
Experience in the development and implementation of repeatable and iterative performance testing process in an Agile environment
Experience with defect/issue management tool (HP Quality Center, JIRA)
Soft skills:-
Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills, ability to lead and work with teams
Work collaboratively with multiple groups
Ability to multitask to keep on schedule in a fast paced Agile development environment
Keep skills current, and learn new skills as appropriate
