Develop forms on the web for collection of college & university financial data that is currently submitted using Excel workbooks and stored in SQL Server 2005 using a homegrown VB6 ETL program and create the WCF Service for SQL Server 2012.

The Arkansas Department of Higher Education is looking for a Developer whose primary responsibility will be to develop forms on the web for collection of college & university financial data that is currently submitted using Excel workbooks and stored in SQL Server 2005 using a homegrown VB6 ETL program and create the WCF Service for SQL Server 2012. The network requires WCF to cross the firewall.  The project will also involve moving the data store to the SQL Server 2012 database. 

 

Additional Responsibilities to include:

Work with Business Analyst on analysis and logical design.

Perform unit testing and correct all identified bugs.

Perform complex ASP.Net coding.

The individual in this position will work under the direction of a Project Manager & Software Architect.

 

Basic Qualifications:

5 years experience developing applications utilizing ASP.Net 2.0 or above.

4 years experience developing web forms.

4 years experience developing .net web applications.

4 years experience writing and developing Web Services or WCF.

4 years experience developing N-Tier applications.

3 years experience with PL/SQL writing packages, stored procedures and triggers.

1.5 years experience with Team Foundation Server.

4 years experience design & deployment of complex SQL objects and relational databases design.
