Position: Dev Ops Engineer with exp Capistrano/ruby/gems
Location: Philly, PA
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Job Requirement & Technical Skills Required:
We are looking for a configuration management / development operations engineer with the following qualifications.
Software deployment experiences:
- Deploy java software
- Deploy to multiple environments (production, dev-CI, QA, etc.)
- Deploy using Capistrano/ruby/gems
Working knowledge and hands on experiences with configuration and support for
- Jetty
- Nginx/httpd
- Cassandra
Full working knowledge of
- VMs, Linux, windows
- Shell scripting, ruby, Perl, python
- Triaging networking/firewall issues
- Soft HA Proxy
- SVN/GIT
- Bamboo
- Maven
We need someone who can
- Branch, tag, build and deploy software
- Work with developers to understand new configurations & parameters, as well as to understand issues in development, test, and production environments.
- Pick up new tools and understand/install/support the tools to support application team and QA team.
- Must be a good communicator – in person, emails, and formal documentation.
- Independent thinker/worker to get the job done with minimal day to day supervision.
- Available to work off-hours and on-call rotation as needed.
- Scripting skills is a must – ruby/Capistrano, shell, Perl.
- Pay extremely close attention to detail
