Requirements Details:
Duration: 6-12 months+
- Senior Quality Assurance Lead / Manager
- King of Prussia, PA
To ensure the quality, reliability and completeness of software developed via the application of standard SQA practices. To oversee the planning and development of software test plans, organize and prioritize the testing activities for new and existing releases and access impact of new functionality on testing efforts. Coordinate with QA members the prioritization of the testing efforts and cross – track dependencies.
Define, implement and/or lead process improvements that will expand overall efficiency and software quality.
Role Requirements
- 6 - 8 years in Quality Assurance role
- 3+ years experience in a Software Testing role
- Proven experience and understanding of all phases of the development life cycle including scoping, design, construction, integration and testing
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other disciplines including QA Leads, System Test Lead, QA PM, Business Analysts and Development Managers
- Ability to work in a highly integrated, iterative development model which emphasizes speed and proactive decision making
- Ability to plan and coordinate testing activities as they relate to cross Track dependencies, Business criticality and impact and Prioritization.
- Microsoft Server Tools: Query Analyzer and Enterprise Manager
- QA experience in Web Applications
- Investment processing experience preferred but not required.
Scoping / Define Phase
- Participates in high level planning sessions with QA Leads and Development Managers to include high level test scope and priority of efforts
- Participates in the review and validation of project plans for each iteration.
Design
- Participates in design sessions with Business Leads, BA's, Technical Leads and QA Leads
- Oversees the review and sign off of test scenarios
- Coordinates and plans, from a Business criticality perspective, the priority of testing efforts
- Responsible for the high level Test Plan document as it relates to Regression testing and the overall test approach for each release *
Development
- Gathers updated estimates for completion of Test scenarios and scenario reviews
- Monitors activities and they relate to the creation and reviews of test scenarios and test script reviews with the QA Leads, BA's and Technical Leads and associated Ops personnel.
- Provides updated estimates for completion of Test scripts and script reviews
- Day-to-day management of work assignments for QA Leads
- Responsible for overall quality of software deliverables and configurations.
- Responsible for achieving delivery of QA related milestones once project plan is agreed upon.
- Identifies and escalates issues that impede progress of testing - resources constraints, requirement gaps, technical issues, etc.
Test Phases
- Participates in and / or is responsible for the testing efforts throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Participates in and / or manages the tracking and reporting of defects or issues and the escalation of Showstopper, Critical and High items
- Access open issues and their affect on System Testing
- Responsible for compiling and delivering the Test Summary report after each major release *
- Complete Test Director and Tracker Audits
General
- Proven self-starter with track record of setting goals and delivering results
- Interacts with QA Management team to address staffing needs and any specific resource issues
- Suggests and implements process improvements for Quality Assurance and testing processes
- Provides weekly summary of accomplishments, issues and work planned for the next week
- Works with Quality Assurance team to insure Track and QA project plans are accurately updated each week
- Attends QA team meetings as required
