Job Description

Our Information Security team is seeking an Information Security Network Specialist to be responsible for designing, evaluating and monitoring the network infrastructure security configuration, including providing firewall and network devices security policy reviews and change approvals.  The Information Security Network Specialist will also perform periodic traffic analysis and establish network component security policies and configuration standards. The incumbent will be executing and coordinating web and mobile application security testing, tracking remediation of identified issues and application security vulnerabilities. Additionally, the role participate in the evaluation and development of security policies and procedures to ensure a secure computing environment. 

Responsibilities: 

• Design, review and ongoing assessment of firewall, router, switches, VPN, SSL and other network component policies and configuration standards.
• Periodic security assessment of firewall, router, switches, VPN, SSL concentrator and other network component security configurations.
• Provide web and mobile application security development requirements based on OWASP, PCI and other standard methodologies to ensure secure coding practices are incorporated with the SDLC process.
• Perform Network and Application vulnerability scans, and track proper remediation of findings, in order to determine company exposure and related security risk.
• Configuration and maintenance of network devices monitoring tools (including setting up intrusion event alerts and notifications).
• Validation of firewall configuration and rules to maintain secure connections (internal and external).
• Assist in the development and maintenance of Information Security Policies & Procedures as necessary to address technology changes, business needs and evolving security threats.
• Coordination and follow up on the remediation of internal and external penetrations tests.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
• Minimum six (6) years of experience related to network architecture design, administration and network infrastructure security.
• Knowledge of Application Security Assessment related security software tools.
• Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux/Windows operating systems and software tools.
• Preferred professional certifications include; CCSP, CCNP, CCIE, CNSE, CISSP, CSSLP, GWEB, CASS, SSCP.
