Role: Business Analyst with WSO (Wall Street Office)
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Duration: 6+ months contract
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded individual who has the ability to organize and execute a vision into a solution and exhibits strong leadership skills.
As the Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will:
•Have product ownership of the Wall Street Office (WSO) application used by the stakeholder groups and stay ahead for its strategic, development and support needs
•Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders within investment and trade operations, fund accounting, performance and client solutions teams
•Analyze business processes and architect prioritized solutions focused on meeting firm and business unit objectives
•Identify opportunities to improve business processes and operational efficiency within the stakeholder groups
•Analyze user requirements and issues; provide the best fit solution, while maintaining the integrity of existing applications
•Perform QA and UAT testing throughout all future systems iterations
•Provides direction and support to vendors/application developers when application changes require knowledge of or changes to system functionality
•Form strong working relationships with internal users - both business and technical - to facilitate application support and adoption
•Act as liaison between business users and vendors/development resources to facilitate large scale change and technology initiatives
•Act as liaison to internal development team to maintain custom developed applications
As the Senior Business Systems Analyst, you have:
•Hands-on experience with Markit's Wall Street Office (WSO) is required
•Experience with fund accounting (Advent Geneva), order management (Black Mountain Everest) and performance calculation (Eagle PACE) systems is a definite plus
•Prior experience from an alternative investment manager, hedge fund or retail investment management firms preferred
•Basic relational database modeling knowledge and strong SQL query skills
•Experience as a Senior/Lead Business Analyst leading small project teams
•Experience in investment and client reporting data, investment fund structures or fund on-boarding process or data management preferred
•Experience with applications associated with investment and trade operations, fund accounting, performance and attribution functions related to investment management firm is a definite plus
•Well versed with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or Finance
•MBA and / or CFA certifications are a plus
