Quick summary:
We are looking for an Data Scientist to lead and drive implementation of Analytics in various functional domains - operational, security and application.
Responsibilities include:
• Integrating and preparing large and varied datasets from multiple complex relational databases and other unstructured data sources to turn data into critical information and knowledge in various functional domains – operational, security and application
• Creating models to discover insights and opportunities using statistical, algorithmic, mining, and visualization techniques.
• Supporting and collaborating with key partners inside the organization on special projects, including developing models and evaluating new algorithms/technologies
• Developing and maintaining continuous analytics to report on risks, exposures and internal controls across various areas of the organization
· Help in mentoring the staff with this engineering paradigm
Experience in various Data science disciplines such as Natural Language Processing, Machine learning, Conceptual modelling, Statistics Analysis, Prediciate Modelling, Hypothesis testing and various associated technologies
Able to program, preferably in different programming languages such as Python, R, Java, Ruby, Clojure, Matlab, Pig or SQL. Need to have an understanding of Hadoop, Hive and/or MapReduce and related big data and no-sql database technologies.
We are looking to enhance our capabilities in the areas of Data Analytics, Machine learning etc. These capabilities will help explore various data analytics related applications e.g. automating operational activities, security related anomaly detections and application analytics relating to predicting failure, etc. These capabilities require knowledge and skills relating to use of specialized statistical techniques, algorithms, machine learning techniques and tools in the area of Data Sciences. Having an expert will enable drive proof-of-concepts to validate ideas and bring awareness around industry practises and capabilities in this widely popular space. These capabilities in turn should help drive new and possible more efficient ways of addressing current challenges in various domains that rely on large amounts of data for decisions, as well as in creating new opportunities to future enhance our capabilities.
